Inspiring future STEM Stars at Mtongani Primary School
On 14 August 2026, the NTWAM Water & Environment Initiative team, in collaboration with the Institution of Engineers Tanzania – Women Chapter, visited Mtongani Primary School, Kunduchi, Dar es Salaam, as part of our shared commitment to inspiring and nurturing the next generation of STEM leaders.
The STEM school visit provided an opportunity to engage students through learning, innovation, discovery, and sustainability, encouraging them to ask questions, explore ideas, solve problems, and envision themselves as future scientists, engineers,innovators, and environmental champions.
We believe that investing in STEM education today is an investment in a more innovative , resilient, and sustainable tomorrow.

“As part of its commitment to promoting sustainable water management, NTWAM joined the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD-TZ Chapter) to celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. The joint initiative took place on February 11, 2026, at Mashujaa Secondary School in Ubungo District, Dar es Salaam region, where the team engaged 190 Form One students in inspiring discussions and interactive sessions. The event aimed to nurture curiosity, build confidence, and encourage both girls and boys to pursue studies and careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), ultimately contributing to a more inclusive and sustainable future for Tanzania’s water sector.”
