Established in 2023

NTWAM Water & Environment Initiative (NTWAM) is a non-profit Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) officially registered by the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania on 21st September, 2023 with Reg. No: 00NGO/R/5403. NTWAM was formally inaugurated on 26th October, 2023 by the Minister for Water, Energy and Mineral Zanzibar, Hon. Shaib H. Kaduara.

NTWAM is envisioning to become a leading water & Environment group in the region in addressing Societal needs by year 2030.

We, the founding members of NTWAM Water & Environment Initiative recognize the critical role of research in understanding, managing, and preserving water resources and the environment. We are driven by a shared commitment to scientific inquiry, evidence-based decision-making, and sustainable development to establish this non-governmental organization.

We, the members of NTWAM Water & Environment Initiative, hereby establish this organization to serve as a platform for water and environment research, a facilitator of knowledge exchange, and an advocate for evidence-based policies and practices in Tanzania

Global Water Partnership Tanzania

Executive Directors of NTWAM Water & Environment Initiative and Global Water Partnership Tanzania (GWPTZ).

Prof. Preksedis Marco Ndomba and Dr. Victor Kongo, respectively, signing a collaborative Agreement (Momerandum of Understanding) in the major fields of research undertaking, capacity building and community services. The ceremony was held on 27th December, 2023 at the Headquaters Office of GWPTZ based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
